What is Distribution Cabinet

A distribution cabinet is a low‑voltage power distribution device assembled by mounting switching equipment, measuring instruments, protective electrical appliances and auxiliary devices onto an enclosed or semi‑enclosed metal box (cabinet) or panel in accordance with electrical wiring requirements. During normal operation, circuits are closed or opened via manual or automatic switches. Under fault or abnormal operating conditions, protective appliances trip the circuit or trigger alarms. A distribution box realizes the distribution, control and safety protection of electric energy mainly through internal electrical components.
